Membership is what makes this medicine possible, and it protects you as much as it protects your practitioner. Here's what it actually means, why it matters, and how it works.

Membership is $15 per year and renews yearly.
A single $15 payment no longer grants lifetime access. To keep your membership and its protections active, it is renewed once a year — still less than a single copay.
What membership actually is
The NAIC is not a church in the way most people picture one. There are no services to attend, no sermons, no dress code, and no pressure to believe anything specific. It is a tribal organization and private association whose purpose is to protect and preserve Indigenous medicine. People of any faith or background are welcome.
Think of it like belonging to a credit union instead of a big bank. It is a private membership that protects both you and your practitioner and opens access to healing traditions that are not offered to the general public. The “church” designation is simply what carries the legal protection, under the First Amendment and the American Indian Religious Freedom Act, that lets this medicine be practiced in all 50 states the way it was always meant to be.
Why it's powerful for you
Membership isn't a formality. Each protection below is something you gain the moment you join, and something you do not have without it.
Access the public cannot get
These healing traditions are shared privately among members, not offered to the general public. Membership is the doorway that lets you receive Indigenous, traditional, and natural medicine, therapy, ceremony, and counseling as a matter of protected religious practice.
Real privacy: the client–minister privilege
Between a member and a minister-practitioner, what you share stays private, the same way it would with a counselor or clergy. Without membership, that privilege does not exist. With it, your care is a confidential relationship, not a public transaction.
Your care is a protected religious exchange
Membership defines every session as traditional, indigenous, religious therapeutics — not a secular medical or massage service regulated by a state board. That single distinction is what lets this 5,000-year-old medicine be practiced freely and openly.
First Amendment & Indigenous protections
As a member you are covered by the same religious-freedom framework the practice relies on: the First Amendment, the American Indian Religious Freedom Act (AIRFA), RLUIPA, and established federal precedent. Non-members receive none of these protections.
Liability protection & member arbitration
Membership brings you inside the association agreement, including its liability protection and a clear, agreed path for resolving any dispute among members. Outside of membership, none of that applies.
No confusion about what this is
A written membership relationship removes any doubt, in the moment or years later, about the nature of your care. Everyone involved understands these are Native American religious and traditional expressions, not something to be misread by an outside party.
What members receive
- Access to Indigenous healing modalities not available to the general public
- Christian Science Practitioner services, HSA authorized (see IRS Publication 502)
- 50% discount on all services for veterans and first responders
- Your whole family can join under one membership
- Free daily use of the Vibration Plate with any membership series
- Community with a UN WHO DESA recognized Indigenous organization
The membership fee may be waived by the church at its discretion. Services are religious therapeutic donations; see IRS Publication 502, Medical Expenses. HSA authorized.
Learning to practice
Membership is also the foundation for those who want to learn this work, not only receive it. Through live classes and SomaVeda® certification training under direct lineage instruction, members can earn the hands-on clinical skill, the NAIC credential, and the legal authorization to practice Indigenous therapeutic medicine.
Whether you come as a client seeking care or a student seeking the craft, the same membership carries you, and the same protections apply.
