Why Veterans and First Responders Get 30% Off Here, Always

Every session, series, and pack at Healing Warrior Arts is 30% off for veterans, EMTs, paramedics, police, and firefighters. The reason is simple, and personal.

Veterans and first responders get 30% off at Healing Warrior Arts. Off everything. Single sessions, the seven-session protocol, ten-packs, monthly maintenance, add-ons. Every visit, every year, for as long as I run this practice.

That is the whole policy. The rest of this is why it exists, and how to claim it without a paperwork dance.

One thing to get out of the way first, because I put it in everything I write: we do not provide massage or massage therapy, and we are not licensed massage therapists. What I practice is traditional Thai bodywork, offered through our ministry. More on that below.

Why it never expires

I live and work in Hernando County, and I drive a lot of it every week. Spring Hill, Brooksville, Weeki Wachee. Flags on porches, unit stickers on tailgates, retired firefighters comparing notes at the hardware store. Hernando and Pasco are full of people who spent whole careers in uniform, and plenty of them are now in their fifties, sixties, and seventies, living with whatever those careers left in their bodies.

The usual business move is a discount that appears around Veterans Day and quietly dies in December. I find that a little insulting. If the reason for the discount is that someone carried heavy loads for the rest of us, the reason does not expire when the calendar flips. So mine doesn’t either. Thirty percent, always, on everything. I spend my weeks with my hands on the results of other people’s careers, and some careers cost the body more than others. The policy is written into the veterans page so nobody has to wonder whether it’s still running.

What twenty years of gear leaves behind

Bunker gear. A plate carrier. A duty belt that loads the same hip, the same way, for two decades. Twelve-hour shifts on concrete, and adrenaline that spikes when the tones drop at 3 a.m. and never quite drains before the next one. None of that is dramatic on any single day. Over a career it adds up to a particular kind of body: stiff through the hips and low back, shoulders that sit forward, tension that has been there so long it feels like part of the frame.

That is the body this work is built for. Sessions happen on a floor mat, fully clothed, no oil. I use hands, forearms, and sometimes feet: rhythmic compression, sustained pressure, and assisted stretching along the sen lines, the traditional Thai map of the body’s pathways. Nothing is rushed. A systematic review of clinical trials found traditional Thai massage was associated with reduced pain, greater flexibility, and lower perceived muscle tension, which matches what I watch happen on the mat: people stand up moving easier than they got down.

To be clear about the boundary, this is wellness work. Stiffness, stress, everyday aches, the feeling of being worn down. If something in your body needs a doctor, see your doctor. That is their lane, and I am glad to stay out of it.

You have driven enough already

There is no studio. I bring the mat to your home across Spring Hill, Brooksville, Weeki Wachee, Lutz, Land O’Lakes, Odessa, Wesley Chapel, and North Tampa. I need about seven feet by five feet of floor. Setup takes ten minutes, the linens are fresh every visit, and travel is included within about 25 miles of Brooksville.

For someone who already spent a lifetime reporting somewhere on a schedule, this matters more than people expect. No waiting room, no drive home through Florida traffic undoing half the session. You get worked on, and then you are already home.

If you want the longer version of where this work comes from: I trained as a Certified SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Practitioner in the lineage of Grand Master Ajahn Dr. Anthony B. James, carrying the Old Medicine Hospital tradition of Chiang Mai. The full story is here.

The actual numbers

A first visit is normally $90 all-in: assessment, discovery, general hands-on balancing, plus the $14.95 annual NAIC membership. With the discount, your first visit is $63.

A regular 60-minute session is $135. For you, $94.50.

The same 30% comes off the seven-session protocol, the ten-pack, and monthly maintenance. The whole menu lives on the pricing page.

One structural note: everything I do is ministry work through the Native American Indigenous Church, so every client becomes a member. It is $14.95 a year, per person, and you can join here. Your first visit covers it.

How to claim it

Say you served, or say you were on the job. That is the entire process.

No DD-214 upload, no laminated card, no verification site that wants your email address. If you tell me you spent twenty-two years in the Army or twenty on an engine, I will take your word for it. Veterans, EMTs, paramedics, police, firefighters: all covered. If your job sat close enough to that list that you are wondering, ask. We will sort it out in one text.

Book a first visit and mention your service. I will bring the mat, and the price will already be $63 when I do.

Healing Warrior Arts services are traditional bodywork and wellness practices offered through our NAIC ministry to members, not medical care, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Individual results vary. Consult your physician for medical concerns.
