An Honest Answer

Looking for Thai Massage in Spring Hill?

First, the honest part: we do not provide massage or massage therapy, and we are not licensed massage therapists. What we practice is traditional SomaVeda® Thai Yoga, ministry-based Indigenous bodywork that people often compare to Thai massage. If you searched for Thai massage and landed here, this page will save you time either way.

What "Thai massage" actually means

The tradition people call Thai massage is Nuad Boran, the ancient Thai art of bodywork: a floor mat instead of a table, the receiver fully clothed, no oil, and a practitioner using hands, feet, knees, and elbows to apply rhythmic compression, assisted stretching, and sustained pressure along the body's sen lines. It grew out of Classical Ayurveda and has been practiced and refined for well over a thousand years.

What most spas in Florida sell under the name is a table service with some stretching added. If that is what you want, a licensed massage establishment is the right place to get it, and nothing on this page applies.

What we practice instead, and why people compare the two

SomaVeda® Thai Yoga comes from the same root tradition, taught through direct lineage under Dr. Anthony B. James of the Thai Yoga Center. The parts people recognize from traditional Thai massage are all here: the floor mat, staying fully clothed, the assisted yoga stretching, the slow sustained pressure along the sen lines, the unhurried pace. The difference is the frame: this is practiced as Indigenous religious therapeutics under the Native American Indigenous Church, for members and guests of the ministry, not as a licensed spa service.

On the research side, a systematic review of clinical trials found traditional Thai massage was associated with reduced chronic pain, greater flexibility, and lower perceived muscle tension, while noting more research is needed. We keep the full cited library on our research page. Those are findings about the tradition, not claims that any session treats or cures anything.

One more practical difference: right now the entire practice is mobile. You do not drive to a spa in a strip mall. Tyler comes to your home across Spring Hill, Brooksville, and the North Tampa corridor, and you rest in your own space afterward.

Straight Answers

Do you offer massage?
No. We do not provide massage or massage therapy, and we are not licensed massage therapists. We practice SomaVeda® Thai Yoga, traditional Indigenous bodywork received on a floor mat, fully clothed. People who come in expecting a massage usually tell us this goes deeper.
What should I book if I was looking for a Thai massage near me?
Book a SomaVeda® Thai Yoga session. It shares the roots people associate with traditional Thai massage: the floor mat, staying fully clothed, assisted stretching, and sustained pressure along the sen lines. It is practiced here as Indigenous religious therapeutics for members of our ministry, and every session comes to your home.
Are you licensed massage therapists?
No, and we do not practice massage therapy. Our practitioner is an ordained minister of the Native American Indigenous Church, and sessions are provided as traditional Indigenous religious therapeutics to members and guests of the ministry.
Do you come to homes in Spring Hill and Brooksville?
Yes. The practice is fully mobile right now: Tyler brings everything needed to your home across Spring Hill, Brooksville, Hudson, Lutz, Land O'Lakes, Odessa, Wesley Chapel, and North Tampa.
What does the research say about traditional Thai massage?
A 2015 systematic review of clinical trials found traditional Thai massage was associated with reduced chronic pain, greater flexibility, and lower perceived muscle tension, while noting more research is needed. We keep a full cited library at healingwarriorarts.com/research. These are research findings about the tradition, not claims that any service treats disease.
